Our mission

Good science shouldn’t depend on the size of your budget or the name on your building. We believe biological research belongs to everyone who wants to do it: small university labs and start-ups, community lab spaces, and independent biohackers working at their own bench.

Too often, the basics of cell culture are priced and packaged with large institutions in mind. We’re making defined, animal-free media that smaller labs can afford and rely on, so more people can grow cells, test their ideas, and share what they learn. Whether you work in a university, a start-up, a community lab or a home lab, our media are made for you.
